We are the Creators of our Universe

It really bothers me when people say that they can’t control their own lives. They rely on circumstances, luck, and chance to rule their day. Because of this they live their lives with no plan of action. So can they be successful? I would say no, not by any measure of it.
Those who rely on circumstances, luck, and chance don’t lead very exciting lives. They Lets take luck for instance. In sports some people see others as being lucky all the time. But you talk to any top athlete and they will usually paraphrase the quote from Thomas Jefferson
I’m a great believer in luck and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it. ~Thomas Jefferson
And it is true. Luck comes from preparation, working hard, and setting goals. Luck does not come by chance. You make it. You make your circumstances, you create the chances you get, so get out there and start creating. Remember action always beats inaction. Luck will never fall on someone who is not already moving.
If a person relys on luck and chance they will have no plan. For some it is ok to live their life with no plan. To those who are happy bouncing around life and simply enjoying life’s circumstances good for you, but this site is not for you. This site is for those who want to be the best they can be. This site is for those who want to improve their circumstances, their luck, and their chance in life. The best way to do this is to have a plan. I call them goals. That is all a plan is, a written set of goals. We have talked about goals before so go back and review and set goals so that you can become the best you can be, and not rely on the chance that life will bestow it on you.
Finally without a plan to measure yourself success and prosperity will never come. Ever think of the people who live in the nicer neighborhood? You know the one with the private golf course that you can only see from the road. Did they get there by chance? Maybe but here is the difference. Those that got there by chance probably do not feel rewarded. Lucky them I say, but are they successful by our definition? Probably not. They probably worked really hard at a job to get there. That has to be admired. But are they happy? Probably not fully. I am sure that those who got there by chance have things that they would have rather achieved. They probably work too much to enjoy the golf course.
But, those who got there with a plan, those who created their own opportunities, those who created their own luck and chance. Are they successful? ABSOLUTELY YES. This is the way to enjoy your life. This is the way to enjoy the journey. They got the big house on the private golf course (or whatever your goal is) also through hard work. But when they got what they wanted they were rewarded with inner peace, happiness, and a giant sense of accomplishment. It is good for them to have this stuff. It certainly is not meaningless.
So don’t rely on chance, luck, and circumstance. Create it through your own actions and thoughts and soon you will have exactly what you are looking for presented to you by the Universe.

So true, and too many people waste a lot of energy, regularly complaining about how lucky the “successful people” are, instead of using that energy to do something productive themselves.
Great post Professor!
Cheers!
