Stay Positive

Yes the economy has taken a different turn.  Things don’t seem to be going as well as they could be right now.  But are things really as bad as they may seem?  Staying positive throughout this period of time will help you to be immune from this trend.

So how do we stay positive during this time?  It is pretty simple really.

Focus on the Long Term

For most of us what has happened with the stock market is only a minor blip.  Remember that over time the stock market will go up.  So that is your first step in being positive.  Look at the long-term trends.  Be patient and know that things will get better, they always do.

Focus on what you Already Have

Unless you are directly involved with the stock market as a business, things are not so bad.  Look around you.  You probably have a job that you do well.  Focus on doing that job well.  You probably have a house that is adequate.  Focus on making it a nice house.  Focus on you, what you have, and what you can change in your life.  Some things you simply do not have control over.

Keep Things in Perspective

The media no longer simply reports the news in an unbiased way.  The media always have an opinion.  They take an opinion that is sensationalistic.  It sells advertising and lets face it, the media is a business.  They need people to tune in.  If they said that this latest down-turn was a simple adjustment to an over paced market there would be no story at all.

So with all what is happening stay positive, and do this: focus on the long term, focus on what you already have, and keep things in perspective.  Do this and you will see better days ahead before anyone else.

Success from the East.

Find your Success Action

Find your Success Action

Working hard does not necessarily guarantee success, but quitting guarantees failure.  -Mao Tse Tung

Success in anything is not done by simply working hard.  As a matter of fact success is not dependant on time.  Success is dependant on doing the right thing.  To guarantee success you must find the thing that makes you successful and concentrate on that.

So how do you know if you are doing the right thing?  Look at your progress.  If you work for a long period of time and you do not see any improvement, you do not see any progress, or you do not see any change in moving toward your goal, you are not doing the right thing.

Once you find the task or the activity that makes progress concentrate on that.  Concentrate on the things that move you forward.  Once you find this, and it may take you a while, focus most of your time on this activity.

There was a friend of mine who worked tirelessly for two years to find something that would give him a steady income.  He would sit at his computer for days and days with little or no results.  He joined several home based businesses but none gave him what he wanted, nor did it fit his lifestyle.

One day he finally discovered that helping others build their businesses online was not only fulfilling to himself it helped others.  He began helping them create websites, he taught them how to use the sites, how to update them simply by themselves, and soon he was able to create an income out of this.  It sort of happened by mistake, but through his perseverance.

Now he gets to spend the same amount of time in front of his computer, but most of that time is spent surfing and finding the latest technology.  That part he just likes to do.  His income comes from teaching others how to use it properly to expand their business.

Be patient, you will find what it is that causes your success.  Once you find that stick with it, do not fight it, that will be your success.

Professor Prosperity Academy: Do Something

Action always beats inAction.

Action beats In Action AlwaysWe have set ourselves up for success this month. We have our goals set, we have our Personal Mantras and Personal Aspirations. Now what to do we do with all this stuff? What leads us to success?

Action! The only way to become successful and prosperous is action. It must be consistent, sustained action in a direction that is toward one of our goals. But what to do? It really does not matter just do something (as Nike says Just Do It). You will make mistakes, and that is OK. You will find people who have done similar things, learn from them. Be flexible, you may be on the wrong path so don’t be afraid to switch.

Making mistakes is part of the learning process. Everyone will make them. Don’t dwell on them. Accept that mistakes will happen, correct them immediately, and move on. You are not a bad person for making them. Mistakes are always fixable and inevitable. Besides, now you just know what not to do. As Edison said about his light bulb.

I have not failed, I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.

Seek out people who have already done what you want to do. If you want to lose weight everyone knows where to go, the local gym. Seek out a trainer that you like and they can help you. If you want to learn a certain task you go to the local community college. They usually offer classes on things you want to learn like how to play the guitar. But what do you do if you are trying something unique, like us at Professor Prosperity? Seek out people who have done things that are similar. Many times they have already made the mistakes that are inevitable and they can help you avoid them. Afraid to ask? Don’t be, most successful people are willing to help if you ask. So just ask, there is nothing to lose. That is how we got hooked up with Bryan Clark at Site Flip U. We just asked and he has been a great help. Mentors and guides are invaluable in any success project. It is very important that you find someone to help you. Then in turn you can give back by helping others.

Be flexible and willing to change. This is maybe the most important step to action and many times the most overlooked. If you are trying something new you probably don’t know what to do. Most likely as you make your mistakes, and you find your mentors, you will also find that you are doing it wrong. You may be going in the complete opposite direction. That is OK Just do a 180 and start working some more. It may seem a little counter productive but it is not. It is a process of refining your goal. You may find a better idea or goal than your original one. Go with it! You may find that there are many opportunities along the way, be flexible to take advantage of them.

Have fun, make mistakes, met new people. You never know what is on the horizon for you.

Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up. ” — Thomas Edison

Professor Prosperity’s Academy: Your Mind

Your Mind is your Gateway To all Success and Prosperity

Your Mind Controls Everything About YouThat is a big title, and a bold statement. Is it true? Ask all the successful people and they will say a resounding yes. Over the next 4 days Professor Prosperity’s Academy will briefly cover the Mind and how you can change yours into a powerhouse. In the end the Entire 4 days will be able to be downloaded in PDF format just like the goals article. Stick with us and you should learn a lot about who you are.

My first big accomplishment in focusing my thoughts occurred on my way to college. In high school I was not in the popular crowd, I was not in the brainy crowd, I was not in the loser crowd. I was kind of stuck in the middle. So after I graduated I decided that no one would know me in college so I could become who I wanted to be. Without knowing it I was reprogramming my mind. I was thinking my way to a new me.

Once I got to college I joined every group and organization I could. I went from someone who did not fit with anyone to someone who knew just about everyone. I led campus tours, I was the president of the Physics club, I was the president of an academic honors house, I was the secretary-treasurer-founding father of a fraternity on college, and more. It was great and I could not have done it without first getting my mind right.

Set your mind to something and everything else will follow. It is important for you to get your mind right first because your mind controls your thoughts, your actions, and your feelings. This is probably the most important thing that you can do for success and prosperity, but I wanted to give you something that you knew how to do first. Setting goals is important and I am glad that we were able to go through it. Since a blog is sequential we have to do things in a certain order. Goal setting and your Mind set is something that really needs to be done together.

Your Mind Controls Your Thoughts

  • You must first have control over your thoughts before anything can be accomplished. There are many ways to gain control over your thoughts and it is a little out of the scope of this article but we will address some of these over the next few days.
  • Your thoughts breed creativity and new ideas. If you do not like what you have, what you are doing, or who you are the only thing that can change it is your thoughts.
  • Thoughts must be directed not to outer things, but to inner things. Trying to bend a spoon with your thoughts is just plain silly. Concentrating on being more energetic is easy to accomplish.

Your Mind Controls Your Actions

  • Many have action but with no direction. Your mind will give you focus and direction. Having the proper mindset will give you proper direction and proper goals.
  • Action results in moving toward your goals. Action always beats inaction so get your mind right and start doing.
  • Action must be continuous. Success comes to those who have continuous sustained action. Be that person and you will soon see results.

Your Mind Controls Your Feelings

  • You have a choice on how you feel. That statement is something that many fail to understand. I will say it again. You choose how you feel. Once you understand this you can change your perceptions very easily.
  • Turn your negatives into positives with your thoughts. If you have a task that is difficult change your feelings about it and it will seem much easier. Feel positive about a difficult task and it becomes a challenging game. Feel happy while doing something and it seems to get done a lot quicker.
  • Choose to feel good and everything will seem easier. Make things fun! Life is fun! Choose to feel this way about life.

Over the next few days we will give you action steps on how to accomplish all of this. It may see a little mystical or out there for some, but it is absolutely true and easy to do. Change your mindset and you will have more success and prosperity very quickly.

Dealing with Problems

We all come across problems that affect our life and we have to deal with them. However, its how we deal with them that can make all the difference. Problems can occur in life through mistakes that we make ourselves or through unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, whichever way they cross our path we should deal with them in the same levelheaded way.

Stay in control

There are basic ways in which we can help ourselves overcome problems easier when life throws them our way but the most important of them is to remain in control of your thoughts and feelings. Remember that worrying and getting upset about any situation wont change the situation in any way, it won’t make it go away by magic. Try to think of problems as challenges that arise, tests that are put in our path to see how we deal with them and overcome them.

It is all about how we deal with problems emotionally that matter, our emotional state can take us through our problems if we allow it to. If you are prone to worrying when problems arise and allow depression to set in, you still have to get through the tough times, only they will be so much harder to get through.
The first thing you have to understand is that you don’t have to understand the cause of the problem in order to solve it and get past it. If only I knew why? Is the first question that many of us ask when faced with difficulty, but knowing why doesn’t change anything. The solution to the problem lies ahead not behind and this is the way you should be looking, don’t spend energy trying to figure why, spend it focusing on looking for the solution.

Don’t spend anymore than 20% of your time on focusing on the problem and wondering why; do spend 80% on figuring out a solution to the problem. The only question you need to ask yourself is “what am I going to do about it?”

When problems get you down

If problems are getting you down remember that everyday is a new day, while life seems to be throwing many problems your way right now it doesn’t mean it will tomorrow. Leave the past where it belongs and only concentrate on the future and it getting brighter day-by-day.

To lift yourself up out of the blues ask yourself “what is happening in my life right now that I have to be grateful for?” if you sit down and think deeply about this, no matter how many problems you seem to have right now there is always something which you should be grateful for.

So dealing with solving problems is all about how you look at them, face them head on and don’t shrink from them in despair. Focus on obtaining a solution for solving the problem and then go for it full steam ahead until you have dealt with it and got through it.
