We all want positive things in our life. We all want to have a life that is happy for a great majority of the time. So how do we do this?
So as stated before the first step to becoming truly positive is to speak positively. After we take the first step we start to convince ourselves that we are indeed a positive person. The second step is to act positively. Acting as if we are begins to convince others that we live a happy and positive existence.
Finally after enough time we begin to truly become that positive person. We first Act, then we Do, and finally we Know. The know comes from within. Some call it wisdom, truth, or possibly enlightenment. I do not want to play it up to something beyond this world; it is simply becoming that positive person.
You no longer have to work at becoming that positive person. You no longer have to consciously say only positive things. You no longer have to act like you are a positive person. You don’t have to do any of those things anymore because you are that person.
We have seen these people before. Sometimes it is quite frustrating to know these people. It seems that whatever they do turns into gold. They find money on the street. They take a wrong turn and discover a beautiful view that was previously unknown to anyone. They walk into a room and everyone feels better. Some people don’t even have to work at this. They don’t know how it happened, or when it happened it just did.
For some of us we have to work at it. Many of us live in a negative bubble. Work is negative, news is negative, and life is negative. So you should first Act as if you are positive. You should Do positive things. And, finally you may become that positive person. It is not easy, but if you work at it anyone can become a great positive person.

I have had a question posed to me quite a lot lately. That question is ‘I say and do positive things all the time, why do bad things still happen to me? How did I bring this on if I am doing positive things?’
I think that people who learn the ways of Karma have this same problem. They do and say all day long, but things still do not happen in their favor. There is a little fact that we overlook when we are in this position. Simply saying and acting positive is not enough to cause a change in your life. It is a hard fact to swallow especially if you have been working very hard for a long time to become as positive as possible.
I have told you if you are a regular reader of this site that to get anything and everything you want you should act and think positively. We have only been going since July 2008 so I have not gotten to the complete message. Here is the rest.
Things will not fully start to happen unless you become positive. What do I mean by that? Saying and acting is simply a first step. It is a way to fool the rest of you into becoming truly a positive person. Once you truly become a positive person things will start to really fall into place.
Once you become a positive person from the inside everything changes. You see things on a different plane, you feel things on a different level, you experience life closer to the way that it should be.
I say closer to the way it should be only because I do not feel that I am at a perfect place yet. Buddah called it Nirvana (not to be confused with the rock band). I think that it is easily attainable by all people to truly become a positive person. This positive spark inside yourself will lead to a happier and more fuller life. I do not think that it is the end of your personal development thought. I think that it is only an important first step. The good news is that many people become this and are happy to stay right there. There is certainly nothing wrong with this I just want it to be known that I do not believe that it is the end of anything.
So act as if you are positive, learn how to become positive, and soon you will be doing positive things with no effort at all. Once this is accomplished you will be on your way to success and prosperity that you have never experienced before.

Yes the economy has taken a different turn. Things don’t seem to be going as well as they could be right now. But are things really as bad as they may seem? Staying positive throughout this period of time will help you to be immune from this trend.
So how do we stay positive during this time? It is pretty simple really.
Focus on the Long Term
For most of us what has happened with the stock market is only a minor blip. Remember that over time the stock market will go up. So that is your first step in being positive. Look at the long-term trends. Be patient and know that things will get better, they always do.
Focus on what you Already Have
Unless you are directly involved with the stock market as a business, things are not so bad. Look around you. You probably have a job that you do well. Focus on doing that job well. You probably have a house that is adequate. Focus on making it a nice house. Focus on you, what you have, and what you can change in your life. Some things you simply do not have control over.
Keep Things in Perspective
The media no longer simply reports the news in an unbiased way. The media always have an opinion. They take an opinion that is sensationalistic. It sells advertising and lets face it, the media is a business. They need people to tune in. If they said that this latest down-turn was a simple adjustment to an over paced market there would be no story at all.
So with all what is happening stay positive, and do this: focus on the long term, focus on what you already have, and keep things in perspective. Do this and you will see better days ahead before anyone else.

We all want that one special person in our life. So how do we find that person out of the Billions of people that live on this Earth? Is it chance, circumstances, or luck? I think that you can find your mate by using mantras.
If you are not ready when that right person comes along you may just pass by them and never even get the chance to say hi. I truly believe that. I also believe that you will get another chance. To prepare for that person you must first get yourself ready. If you have been waiting for that right person for a long time and have “struck out” many times, it is probably you who needs to get right. You cannot meet Mr. Right when you are Mrs. Wrong. It also works the other way guys. You will never meet that perfect mate until you are ready to be that person also.
I believed that I would meet that person very soon. I had no picture of that person in my head, but I knew that I would know as soon as I saw her. More importantly my actions were geared toward meeting my future soul mate. I bought a townhouse with the thought of living in it together. I painted the rooms with thoughts of how my future wife would like to have it done. Finally I repeated my mantra:
I am happier than I ever knew I could be with my new soul mate. She is the greatest thing that has happened to me and I know that I am a better person with her around.
That is why I knew that I had met her. She fit exactly into my mantra. Notice it says nothing about looks, nothing about her likes, nothing about her really. The mantra is all about me, and she does make me a better person, there is no doubt.
Look at your life, are you ready for someone else to enter it. Guys is your apartment or house a disaster with your stuff all over the place? Ladies do you have room for a man in your life? All of us can make small changes that lets that person enter our lives. Try this mantra to help encourage your mate to arrive:
My life is free and I am ready to find my mate. My mate is looking for me right now.
Simple mantra but can be very powerful. Be careful with this one, it may just work a little to well.
So if you are struggling to find someone create a mantra of your own that will help you, make you a better person, and get yourself straightened out first.

What is the purpose of stuff? Does it lead to success, prosperity, and eventually happiness? I like the skit that George Carlin does on stuff. Basically stated, and far less funny, he says that your house is a place to put all your stuff. When you get to much stuff you have to buy a bigger house to store more stuff in it.
I was looking at the neighborhood this morning and I realized that all these houses were mostly air. There is not much to them, a little wood, some nails and some glass to look out of and into. But what is inside them? Stuff. Lots and lots of stuff. So what do people do with their stuff? Most of the stuff in their house people don’t even want. They want to get rid of their stuff and half of it they just have to throw away. So what is the point? Again what is the purpose of the stuff?
In my journey I am a former pack rat. I know that someone can accumulate a lot of stuff. I had a whole attic full of stuff. And it was truly stuff; I had no idea what it was. I had some sports memorabilia; I had some mementos of old travels, and then a bunch of stuff. When I was ready to purge my wife was very good to me, we did it in stages. We went through it, and she was a big help, and threw away or recycled a good portion. A week later we went through again and got rid of even more stuff. A week later a third round. Now jokingly my life is reduced to one Rubbermaid tote. It is such a relief. As a matter of fact our last move consisted of one 10 foot moving van. That is it.
So what does this have to do with success and prosperity? I would say that if you have a goal of measuring success by the amount of stuff you have you need to look inside yourself and decide what is really important. It is fun to have toys, no doubt, but ask this
- What are you spending your money on?
- What is important in measuring your success?
- What does prosperity mean to you?
- What is the ultimate goal for your life?
- Where is your time being used?
- Where is your effort being focused?
For the last two if you asked yourself this and you were focusing your effort and time on stuff then you may need to reevaluate and decide what this stuff is. In the big picture if we say stuff and you don’t know what it is then it must not be too useful.
So step back from time to time. Purge your stuff. It can be a great money maker if you sell it on EBay, Craig’s List, or Amazon. It will reduce your stress level. It will free you up to do other things. It will give you the ability to focus on what is important in your own success and prosperity.
