We all want positive things in our life. We all want to have a life that is happy for a great majority of the time. So how do we do this?
So as stated before the first step to becoming truly positive is to speak positively. After we take the first step we start to convince ourselves that we are indeed a positive person. The second step is to act positively. Acting as if we are begins to convince others that we live a happy and positive existence.
Finally after enough time we begin to truly become that positive person. We first Act, then we Do, and finally we Know. The know comes from within. Some call it wisdom, truth, or possibly enlightenment. I do not want to play it up to something beyond this world; it is simply becoming that positive person.
You no longer have to work at becoming that positive person. You no longer have to consciously say only positive things. You no longer have to act like you are a positive person. You don’t have to do any of those things anymore because you are that person.
We have seen these people before. Sometimes it is quite frustrating to know these people. It seems that whatever they do turns into gold. They find money on the street. They take a wrong turn and discover a beautiful view that was previously unknown to anyone. They walk into a room and everyone feels better. Some people don’t even have to work at this. They don’t know how it happened, or when it happened it just did.
For some of us we have to work at it. Many of us live in a negative bubble. Work is negative, news is negative, and life is negative. So you should first Act as if you are positive. You should Do positive things. And, finally you may become that positive person. It is not easy, but if you work at it anyone can become a great positive person.

I have had a question posed to me quite a lot lately. That question is ‘I say and do positive things all the time, why do bad things still happen to me? How did I bring this on if I am doing positive things?’
I think that people who learn the ways of Karma have this same problem. They do and say all day long, but things still do not happen in their favor. There is a little fact that we overlook when we are in this position. Simply saying and acting positive is not enough to cause a change in your life. It is a hard fact to swallow especially if you have been working very hard for a long time to become as positive as possible.
I have told you if you are a regular reader of this site that to get anything and everything you want you should act and think positively. We have only been going since July 2008 so I have not gotten to the complete message. Here is the rest.
Things will not fully start to happen unless you become positive. What do I mean by that? Saying and acting is simply a first step. It is a way to fool the rest of you into becoming truly a positive person. Once you truly become a positive person things will start to really fall into place.
Once you become a positive person from the inside everything changes. You see things on a different plane, you feel things on a different level, you experience life closer to the way that it should be.
I say closer to the way it should be only because I do not feel that I am at a perfect place yet. Buddah called it Nirvana (not to be confused with the rock band). I think that it is easily attainable by all people to truly become a positive person. This positive spark inside yourself will lead to a happier and more fuller life. I do not think that it is the end of your personal development thought. I think that it is only an important first step. The good news is that many people become this and are happy to stay right there. There is certainly nothing wrong with this I just want it to be known that I do not believe that it is the end of anything.
So act as if you are positive, learn how to become positive, and soon you will be doing positive things with no effort at all. Once this is accomplished you will be on your way to success and prosperity that you have never experienced before.

Be cautious when viewing media, including this site. The media is the best way to get down on yourself, your country, and the whole picture of the world.
The media likes to sensationalize simple news. By just telling a story with no regard to personal opinion the news would be boring, and no one would want to watch their programs. The same can be said for news papers and the internet. Maybe more than on the internet than in anywhere else. Be careful with what you believe.
The better thing for you to do to get your news, and to still stay positive is to read several sources, watch several sources, and keep in mind that you are not getting the straight truth of the situation. Then form your own opinion.
No really it is just fine to form your own opinion. As a matter of fact to stay positive, an to stay sane you must form your own opinion. Things usually are only about half as bad as they may first seem.
My previous post was on how you should stay positive in this economy. Things really are not too bad. But if you listen to the media things are terrible. Do you want a good example of someone who thinks for himself?
Warren Buffett thinks for himself. Not only is he the richest man in the world but he is very content living in the same house that he has lived in since nearly the beginning of his business. He still is very simple at heart. Since the stock market has had this down turn he has simple began to buy. Why? Because everything is now on sale. He knows this and that is why he is not panicking. He is not worried. He is simply doing what he always does. Looking for a good opportunity for his company Berkshire Hathaway.
He probably listens and reads more media than most, but he is not phased by it, he forms his own opinions.
Once you have your own opinion formed you can start to cut out the media. You will begin to find that you do not miss much that is happening. I do not watch the news nor do I read the news paper. On occasion I will turn on CNN to get the headlines, I may skim a few online news sources (Yahoo and MSN are my current favorites) and if an article has a lot of interest for me I may even read it. Just by reading the headlines and listening to others talk I form my own opinions, and I have been rarely wrong. It is not because I have some gift to know what is going on, I have just formed my own opinions. How do you think that news paper journalists write articles from their desks at the newspaper? They do just what I am doing. They watch a few minutes of the headline news, they quickly read a few quick accounts of what happened online, and then they write what they think happened, mostly with their own opinions.
You should do the same. Now when you rewrite the stories on your own you should stay as positive as you possibly can. Write your own stories about the news. Write about how good things are. Write about how this does not effect your personal life and you only wish good things to those who are involved.
Always be positive, look at things in a positive way and you will find more good things in the world than you ever knew were possible.

Yes the economy has taken a different turn. Things don’t seem to be going as well as they could be right now. But are things really as bad as they may seem? Staying positive throughout this period of time will help you to be immune from this trend.
So how do we stay positive during this time? It is pretty simple really.
Focus on the Long Term
For most of us what has happened with the stock market is only a minor blip. Remember that over time the stock market will go up. So that is your first step in being positive. Look at the long-term trends. Be patient and know that things will get better, they always do.
Focus on what you Already Have
Unless you are directly involved with the stock market as a business, things are not so bad. Look around you. You probably have a job that you do well. Focus on doing that job well. You probably have a house that is adequate. Focus on making it a nice house. Focus on you, what you have, and what you can change in your life. Some things you simply do not have control over.
Keep Things in Perspective
The media no longer simply reports the news in an unbiased way. The media always have an opinion. They take an opinion that is sensationalistic. It sells advertising and lets face it, the media is a business. They need people to tune in. If they said that this latest down-turn was a simple adjustment to an over paced market there would be no story at all.
So with all what is happening stay positive, and do this: focus on the long term, focus on what you already have, and keep things in perspective. Do this and you will see better days ahead before anyone else.

All leaders use mantra’s, and many don’t even know they are doing it. I like to look at these three great leaders. Here are a few mantras that they have used, and you can use also:

Winston Churchill
Winston Churchill quotes
A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.
All the great things are simple, and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope.
Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.
Broadly speaking, the short words are the best, and the old words best of all.
Continuous effort - not strength or intelligence - is the key to unlocking our potential.
Courage is rightly esteemed the first of human qualities… because it is the quality which guarantees all others.
Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.
Difficulties mastered are opportunities won.
History is written by the victors.
I am an optimist. It does not seem too much use being anything else.

Vince Lombardi
Vince Lombardi quotes
Confidence is contagious. So is lack of confidence.
Dictionary is the only place that success comes before work. Hard work is the price we must pay for success. I think you can accomplish anything if you’re willing to pay the price.
If you are not fired with enthusiasm, you will be fired with enthusiasm.
Individual commitment to a group effort - that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work
It’s not whether you get knocked down, it’s whether you get up.
Leaders aren’t born they are made. And they are made just like anything else, through hard work. And that’s the price we’ll have to pay to achieve that goal, or any goal.
Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.
Success demands singleness of purpose.

John Wooden
John Wooden quotes
Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.
Be prepared and be honest.
Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do.
Failure is not fatal, but failure to change might be.
If you don’t have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?
If you’re not making mistakes, then you’re not doing anything. I’m positive that a doer makes mistakes.
It isn’t what you do, but how you do it.
So take these words, I hope you can use them in your life.
