No matter who we are we can all use a little boost in self-confidence from time to time. How about using mantras to do this. They are extremely powerful for this and are used for this purpose by many of the most successful people that you will meet.
This of course is the reason that we use mantras. All mantras come down to boosting your self-confidence. As I stated before mantras are meant for you, they are usually written by you, and the really only apply to you. Therefore mantras become a way of you boosting yourself. Lets get right to it.
Need a boost try these:
I am getting better and better every day in every way
My confidence around other people helps me to be a better person, and change peoples lives.
There are always more examples that we can give for self-confidence, but my advice to you is this. Find a specific reason that you feel a little self-doubt. Maybe it is speaking with your boss. Simple create a mantra that will give you strength the next time you must approach him to ask for something. Maybe something like this:
I am a great employee and because of this my boss wants my opinions. I am happy to freely talk to him about how I feel.
Perhaps you have a fear of speaking in front of large crowds. Try this one:
I am a great speaker and people are eager to hear what I have to say. I love to be in front of people and watch them unite with what I have to say.
Maybe you have a lack of confidence in starting something new. This of course is very reasonable but try this:
I am learning and getting better everyday. I bring fresh ideas that have not been used before. I am successful because of my fresh thinking.
A little worried about being too boastful with your new confidence? Try this one out:
I am confident and humble. I never waiver with my confidence, and I am always willing to help others with their own confidence.
Keep going. Before you know it you will be the most confident and successful person that you have ever met.

Do mantra’s seem mystical or a little daunting? Are you not sure how to start? I have been there and let me tell you something writing; mantra’s are quite simple once you get a few directions.
Let me start by saying that mantra’s are not something that is reserved for mountain top guru’s and yoga instructors. They are used by many people all the time. As a matter of fact many your hero’s and role models probably use mantras every day.
Keep it Short
Mantra’s should be no longer than 2-4 sentences. They should be short enough to remember, chanted, or repeated easily in a short amount of time. They should not be so long that you stumble over the words or it is hard to remember.
Be Positive
Write every statement in the positive. This is very important. Do not make any negative statements. That last sentence is a great example of what not to do. Instead: Write every statement in the positive. That is a good sentence. Confused? It is a little difficult to get used to, especially when you are just learning, but you will feel better once you begin to think and say things in a positive way.
Write it in the Now
This is my favorite part. Do not say I will do something, or I am going to do something. Instead think and write as if it is already happened. There are two ways to do this. First you can write it as a narrative or using I. The second is as a commercial or using you.
Narrative
I personally use this. For example: I am a good person. I like my live. I love to live my life the way I am living it now. Using I is like giving yourself a boost. You have become your own coach. It is you who is telling you what to do and how to act.
Commercial
This is like listening to your own commercial, written by you for you. You, you, you. Instead of telling yourself in the first person, you are telling yourself in the second person. Imagine this:
You are a great person. You have the skills to become successful. You are prosperous. You are the best.
Decide what is best for you and run with it. It must work for you. Next I will discuss how and when to use the mantra’s.

I have always felt a good practice toward success is having a good mantra. First lets review what a mantra is:
A mantra is a saying, a phrase, a poem, or simply a short reminder of what you are working toward or working on. Simply said a mantra will help you stay focused on your success task.
This month I would like to concentrate on mantras. Again they are very helpful in keeping you on task, keeping you focused, and helping boost yourself toward your goals. During this month we will look at different situations that may come up in your prosperity journey. We will look at different problems that are common to many of you. We will also look at ways of helping you develop your own personal set of mantras.
I personally use anywhere from 2-5 mantras at any given moment. I usually have two main mantra’s that help me stay focused on what I am really working toward. For example I am about to start to teach a new class (in a classroom, the online classes will begin sometime in 2009). So my two main mantras currently are:
What a great day. Thank you for my ability to wake up and have time to exercise. I am getting better and better, every day in every way.
I am alive, I am happy, and I am free, who wouldn’t want to be me.
Very simple and focused. I would recommend that you keep your mantra’s to about 2-4 sentences. The sentences do not have to be perfect in grammer or even make sense. They only have to be useful to you.
Other than my two main mantras I will have another 2-3 mantras that help me with littler tasks. These can change daily or even weekly where my main mantras usually stay the same for a few months at a time. After some time you may even have a stack of mantras that you rotate depending on how you feel they can best be used. For example here are two simple ones that I use:
I am a positive and successful teacher. My job is to guide my students to discover the answer for themselves.
I use my time well each and every day. I am always learning, and passing on that knowledge. At the end of the day I write what I have learned down because that is what prosperous people do.
In the next few weeks I will do my best to teach you how to write mantras that are best for you, how to use them efficiently, and how to apply them to your life so that you become more prosperous.

A good practice to change your conditions is to sit down and write out how you would like your life to be right now, despite what they are now. Writing does several things for you. It helps your mindset. It helps you to accept improvement that you desire. Simply thinking about you situation usually simply disappears into the either.
Helping Your Mindset
Writing things out helps you to clear your mind, and get into the right mindset. The act of writing will help you focus yourself, it will help you narrow down you expectations of yourself, and it will cause your mind to think clearly about what you would like to be. Sometimes this is the most focused that you will be in your life. Writing is the key to the mindset.
Accepting Improvement
It is stunning and sad to me how people are afraid to be successful. There is a lot of self sabotage out there; I have seen it over and over. The first step to making an improvement is to accept the improvement. You must accept the fact that you can improve. You must accept the fact that you can improve. Once you get the right mindset, you must accept the fact that you can improve.
Writing Makes Things Concrete.
Thinking about problems and solutions usually goes into the either of the universe. Unless you are quite a genius you will probably not remember what you where thinking about, and that great solution that you came up with the other day. If you do remember things that you simply thought about you probably don’t need Professor Prosperity’s site. The act of writing makes your thoughts concrete. It helps you remember what it is that you needed to do. Finally your goals that are written down can be displayed. Displaying these goals keeps you aware of them so that you can work on them on a regular basis.
Changing your conditions is easy if you know how to follow through with them. Use these suggestions and let us know how good it works for you.

Successful thoughts and actions
There is no chance to prosperity and success. There is no luck involved either. Prosperity is the result of deliberate thought and action. That from Catherine Ponder’s book The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity. It is a great book and I recommend you read it.
